As a Capital Reporting professional in our Corporate & Investment Banking, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm

The regulatory finance department is a high profile function, providing financial information to the Prudential Regulation Authority ("PRA"), Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA") and the Bank of England.

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and biannual returns for the following solo regulated entities and their associated UK consolidation groups: JPMorgan Securities Plc (JPMS Plc), JP Morgan Europe Limited (JPMEL), JPMorgan Markets Limited (JPMML) Daily monitoring and preparation of capital adequacy and large exposures reports for the above entities.
  • Interpretation of the Regulatory rules which forms the basis of PRA reporting and providing regulatory guidance to the business.
  • Partnership and supporting other Finance areas with other reporting requirements (e.g. recovery and resolution, ICAAP)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and analysis of daily and weekly capital adequacy monitoring information
  • External reporting to the Regulator on a quarterly basis
  • Develop familiarity of key reporting tool AXIOM/Capri and also CRD4 regulatory rules
  • Monthly/Quarterly reconciliations and data cleansing to ensure integrity of reported numbers.
  • Review and investigate trends and provide commentary for management. Understand the reporting model infrastructure and implement streamlined process solutions towards a more efficient reporting model.
  • Involvement in other non-BAU tasks, such as projects and control initiatives that impact the legal entity and the financial reporting function.
  • Provide ad hoc MIS reporting and analytics when required by management.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • MBA/PG with 3+ years of experience
  • Good academics and strong accounting knowledge. Strong interpersonal and team working skills
  • Self-motivated that is able to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and strict deadlines
  • Good team player and quick learner. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail. Investment banking product knowledge including derivatives, equities, and debt securities.
  • Strong in Microsoft Office – Excel, Access, Outlook, Word and Powerpoint
