Key job responsibilities
Logistics Specialists are expected to understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain very high quality, and be willing and able to work on powered equipment (i.e forklift or cherry picker).- Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately
- Work with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface directly with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements
- Regular and ongoing communications with vendors to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements necessitates a high-level communicator.
- Support an environment that operates 24/7
A day in the life- Data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations
- Ensure that all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain is accurate, validated and ready for processing
- Assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments.
- Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts
- Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
- Manual handling and lifting of objects may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations)
- Continuously climb and descend stairs safely (applies to sites with stairs)
- Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- - Able to lift loads of up to 18kgs and must hold a valid driving license

- Bachelors degree in logistics, engineering, supply chain or relevant studies
- Min 2 years Logistics experience
- Experience in shipping & receiving, inventory, material forecasting and warehousing practices
- Proficient with Tableau and SQL
- Knowledge of IT Industry Logistics would be an advantage
- Experience using metrics to perform analyses
- Experience of working within a complex logistics set-up with Inventory Management Systems and tools
