Manufacturing Engineeringlocated in
Reporting to thePlans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing systems per project requirements.
What a typical day looks like:
- Support manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, Yield, Scrap and Downtime
- Capability to independently or together with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process
- Working with NPI in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required
- Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
- Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel
- Define and implement manufacturing systems appropriate for customer applications.
- Establish and improve robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters
- Create work instructions and coordinate training for facilities and production personnel
- High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues
- Understanding the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product
- Support creation and implementation of engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Develop, implement, and take ownership of process control methodologies.
- Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products.
- Develop and maintain process documentation.
- Define, Implement, and evaluate proposed design updates and processes.
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow, design layout of equipment and works pace for maximum efficiency.
- Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs for implementation of manufacturing systems.
- Coordinate/participatein PFMEA of manufacturing processes
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Validate production floor system routing
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
- B.S. inIndustrial/ManufacturingEngineering or Mechanical or Automation
- 5 years’ experience in related field.
- 5+ years of experience working with NPI in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
