Innovate: Think outside the box while documenting a suite of security products, addressing multiple personas and complex use cases within the DevSecOps domain
Collaborate: Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other Subject Matter Experts to understand requirements, create outlines, and document new features
Create: Produce structured, clean, and intuitive end-user documentation, including user guides, release notes, use cases, API content, and more
Focus on Users: Tailor content to user personas and their goals, ensuring it meets user needs rather than just describing product features
Manage Releases: Oversee the bi-weekly Release Notes preparation process, tracking releases, coordinating with other writers, and working with stakeholders for both SaaS and Self-Hosted releases
Enhance Usability: Participate in usability efforts for new developments, including writing microcopy (UX writing) and providing feedback on UX/UI for the product
Track and Document: Use Jira and other tools to track features and enhancements, identify requirements, and write new content to accompany releases
Collaborate and Innovate: Work with other writers on projects such as updating the documentation style guide, contributing to the design system, and contributing to our internal wiki
To be a Senior Technical Writer at JFrog you need…
5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in an enterprise software development environment
English at native level
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain key relationships
Excellent writing skills with an ability to structure content effectively and write clearly
Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment
Capable of working accurately and quickly with attention to detail
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines, doing what’s required to release content on time, including occasionally jumping online at less conventional times
Advantages
Previous experience in a security company within the DevSecOps domain is highly advantageous.
Experience with topic-based authoring and content reuse
Knowledge of Security principles, DevOps processes, and tools
Experience with REST APIs, Open API 3.0 (Swagger), or Bash scripting / Linux
Technical knowledge or experience such as coding, HTML, networking, databases, working in public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure), working in a CLI / console
Experience with tools including Paligo, Fluid Topics, Figma, Jira, Google Docs
