Microsoft Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer role is on the security platform team working on provisioning compliant data access across Microsoft Security organization. You will be responsible for design, development, testing and release of features.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with distributed cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform

Other Requirements:

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science orrelated technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, orPython
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Proficient experience with building and supporting services, including logging, monitoring, alerting, and measuring reliability and availability.
• Support a 24x7 live site support model for the services the team owns.
• Platform development experience for sandboxed environments and VM management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Software Engineers, Program Managers, Security Researchers, and Data Scientists Development experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
