Job summary

As a member of the EQMO team, you will

• Provide front office operational support for portfolio managers, implementation teams and trading desks to drive efficiencies, and coordinate and resolve issues within the operations environment for the equity and CB businesses covering International Equity and EMAP markets.
• Manage the reduction of risk, through the implementation of robust controls.

Job responsibilities

• You will ensure the accuracy of investment data used within the front office suite of applications and problem solve any discrepancies by managing SOD activities.
• You will champion and drive strategic change for the betterment of managing operational risk and meeting the needs of our business.
• You will actively look to challenge and eliminate manual processes whilst utilising the firm’s suite of intelligent automation tools.
• You will manage the seamless integration of industry and market change items into our support model.
• You will lead with other Middle Office teams to deliver consistent best practice models.
• You will design and deliver scalable model changes for the promotion of future growth

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Relevant operations experience preferably in a similar middle office or front office support role.
• Robust knowledge of operations processes and technology with a detailedunderstanding of the convertible bond and equity product life cycle and trade flows.
• Ability to articulately present project plans and updates to senior management.
• Ability to own and manage concurrent assignments effectively and efficiently.
• Proven ability to problem solve complex issues, and lucidly translate potential control and risk items
• Excellent analytical, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective team player as well as comfortable working alone, adaptable to a changing environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Knowledge of current regulatory and market initiatives impacting Asset Management.
• Experience with Bloomberg and FIS Convertible Bond Services (Monis) would be advantageous.
• Experience with intelligent automation tools Python, Alteryx, Tableau or Signavio BDM would be beneficial.
