  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

About The Role:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new merchants, establishing trust and positioning PayPal as a key business partner through in-person engagement and strategicrelationship-building.
  • Drive new business acquisition through outreach, prospecting, industry networking, attending conference and in person visits to drive business growth.
  • Develop and execute account strategies that maximize merchant engagement, optimize payment solutions, and deliver long-term value for both the merchant and PayPal.
  • Lead meetings and consultative discussions, guiding merchants through the PayPal ecosystem, identifying tailored solutions, and influencing decision-making.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding and product adoption, proactively addressing merchant needs while providing engineering and onboarding support as required.
  • Identify and capitalize on revenue expansion opportunities, executing upselling and cross-selling strategies based on merchant business models and growth potential.
  • Monitor account health and performance metrics, proactively addressing risks and opportunities to enhance merchant success.
  • Independently manage territory planning, sales pipelines, and revenue forecasting, driving consistent pipeline growth and strategic deal execution.
  • Advocate for merchants, engaging with PayPal’s internal teams to shape product innovation and ensure alignment with evolving market demands.
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce, merchant services, and payment solutions, particularly in driving adoption of digital payments and optimizing revenue growth.
  • Proven success managing high-volume, high-value growth accounts, consistently achieving sales quotas through retention, upsell, cross-sell, and strategic account planning.
  • Experience building and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to align merchant goals with PayPal’s New Acquisition solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, risk, and operations, to deliver seamless, scalable customer experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including industry trends, competitive landscape, and evolving merchant needs to inform strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of securing long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities, resolve complex challenges, and drive measurable business impact.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Gong, AI Tools) for pipeline management, revenue forecasting, and tracking sales activities with precision.
  • Resourceful, collaborative and adaptable, excelling in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, accountable and taking ownership, effectively balancing multiple priorities and delivering exceptional outcomes.
  • Self-driven, dedicated and motivated individual who can drive revenue growth, while creating the basis of long-term client relationships.
