Responsibilities:

Work scope and day-to-day activities may include the following:

  • Create, update and review test plans, test cases, test procedures and prepare test related artifacts to ensure readiness, accuracy and completeness for test execution
  • Perform software testing at the appropriate level (ie, unit, integration, UI, etc) in tandem with the team’s development activities and program schedule
  • Track changes made to the software to ensure appropriate and timely regression testing is performed to verify changes do not adversely impact software behavior or performance, or introduce defects
  • Support automated test activities, including development of scripts, tools or the employment of third-party products to provide automated test mechanisms
  • Work with the team to detect, analyze and resolve software defects, to include procedures to recreate the issue and develop appropriate work-arounds as applicable
  • Prepare and perform integration and Use-Case based testing on appropriate hardware and software platforms that replicate the user’s operational environment
  • Support or perform formal, requirements-based testing
  • Demonstrate basic comprehension of the mission planning products being developed, to include providing working demonstrations of the software’s capabilities and behaviors to users and other stakeholders. This includes working with Subject Matter Experts to understand the applicable aspects of the aircraft platform, end-user’s needs, and operational environment
  • Document work thoroughly in an organized and controlled manner
  • Learn, understand, and provide input to established or new processes and projects
  • Summarize necessary information for tasks within a standard framework
  • Apply accumulated knowledge to identify and creatively solve problems

Clearance:Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Minimum Education:High School diploma

Preferred:

  • Secret (or above) Clearance
  • BS degree from an accredited college or university in any Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
  • Military and/or related mission planning experience
