Core Technologies OpsRel: - Work with NPI Reliability teams and lead / participate FMEA sessions to identify high risk failure modes early in the design and process life cycle.- Deliver test plans, procedures to third-party vendors, and ensure execution to Apple/Industry standards.- Analyze test correlation between different assembly nodes, align test pass/fail criteria and metrology systems, cosmetics requirements, etc. - Summarize Reliability results and share findings with cross-functional partners and senior management Manage alignment and transition of reliability testing from NPI to MP. - Develop capable suppliers that can be both technology and volume scaling partners. iPhone System:
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience performing reliability testing including Mechanical Stress tests (Shock/Drop/Vibration testing), Environmental & Fatigue testing, and experience in Failure Analysis analytical and material characterization techniques (Optical Microscopy, X-Ray, SEM/EDS, FTIR, XPS etc.)
  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Materials, Optical, Industrial or similar),
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS/PhD in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Materials, Optical, Industrial or similar)
  • Strong understanding of the physics behind material properties (mechanical, electrical, and optical) and ability to use fundamental failure analysis methodology to derive a root cause of failure
  • Knowledge of reliability models, accelerated test models, and industry test standards (JEDEC, MIL, ASTM, IEEE)
  • Deep understanding of application of DOE (Design of Experiments) and FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
  • Strong statistical and data analytics skills - statistical process control and sampling methods
  • Extraordinary problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
  • Dynamic and “can do” attitude with a desire to work with a phenomenal team and product
  • Clear and consistent communication, including executive level presentation skills and ability to drive cross-functional teams
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
