Job Summary (Primary function)

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

Maintain global transfer pricing policies and implement appropriate processes for intercompany pricing and documentation

Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive tax planning strategy for Incyte to optimize its global cash tax and effective tax rates while managing tax and transfer pricing risks

Review proposed transactions in their infancy (including M&A) and advise or propose changes to achieve optimal tax and transfer pricing results

Ability to model and illustrate the tax impacts of proposed legislation, competing structuring and/or deal alternatives

Coordinate with and assist tax reporting and compliance leads to ensure proper reporting of transactions that occur throughout the year

Manage tax projects through cross-functional implementation

Provide consultation and support as needed on the US international aspects of the compliance and US GAAP provision process

Collaborate and partner closely across the global finance team including accounting, legal, treasury and FP&A

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

BS/BA in accounting required; CPA and/or Master’s Degree in Taxation preferred

10-15 years of progressively responsible experience with large multi-national companies or BIG 4 experience

Extensive knowledge of global transfer pricing and US tax rules, particularly in the international area (FDII, GILTI, FTCs, Subpart F etc…)

Strong aptitude for working with complex data and strong analytical skills required

Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to roll-up sleeves and being a hands-on problem solver

Strong work ethic and proven ability to manage multiple projects across functions

Executive presence with excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey tax concepts to executive stakeholders

Must be able to work with all levels of management, staff and manage external advisors etc…

Highly motivated, organized self-starter who is flexible in team environment

Working knowledge of ASC 740 and implications with various planning projects and transfer pricing matters
