- Work closely with the RMSG trading desk along with other internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with the execution of new securitization issuances (occasional overtime required) and ongoing administration
- Reconciliation of mortgage events ensuring all remittances, payments, liquidation and maturities have been received
- Responsible for processing daily mortgage funding and remittance payments from Servicers and Originators
- Includes weekly, monthly and quarterly processes along with ad-hoc activities as required
- Requires booking cash tickets in risk systems used by the desk and sending instructions to various settlements groups to make or receive payments from various counterparties on a timely basis
- Ensure that the funding amounts and accounts are in balance on a daily basis
- Prepare and analyze reports for Financial Accounting team
- Perform other duties as required to continue to support the RMSG business
- Prompt investigation and resolution of errors and/or queries from Trading, Operations or Finance & Accounting staff
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with front office partners and independent support and control groups to facilitate the achievement of front office objectives
- Act as a liaison between the Trading Desk and all other areas including (Ops, Risk, Credit, CMRM and Technology)
- Assist and help navigate covered businesses thru applicable industry and supervisory regulations
- Represent the business when appropriate at Internal and External meetings
- Provide expertise and knowledge in new and existingprojects/applications
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge and understanding of the Residential Mortgage processes and trade lifecycle functions
- Experience with Capital Market risk systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to solve issues creatively and able to communicate the solutions clearly and concisely
- Client management expertise and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills and an ability to meet the multiple strict deadlines and handle high volumes of work daily
- Experience in multi-step processing through non-standard processing environments or in a combination of manual and automated environments is desirable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required when dealing with internal groups and external counterparties in problem resolution
- Proficient with MS Office Suite; Highly skilled in use of Excel
- Flexibility to adapt to changing ad-hoc data requirements within short timeframes
Additional Information:
- 4 Year Degree or equivalent
- 3-5 Years of Capital Markets Experience would be an asset
