    • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience creating publications (e.g., patents, libraries, peer-reviewed academic papers).
  • Experience presenting at conferences or other events in the outside research/industry community as an invited speaker.
  • 3+ years experience conducting research as part of a research program (in academic or industry settings).
  • 1+ year(s) experience developing and deploying live production systems, as part of a product team.
  • 1+ year(s) experience developing and deploying products or systems at multiple points in the product cycle from ideation to shipping.

Responsibilities

As a
Senior Applied Scientist, you will be collaborate with a fast-growing team of skilled applied scientists and software engineers to implement these solutions and enhance customer experience, be responsible for implementing AI features towards a wide variety of business problems within Dynamics 365 products portfolio as well as ensuring they are done to meet rigorous quality standards with the result being software that is used by individuals and businesses throughout the world. In short you will do the following:

  • Focus on particular aspects of our product, developing extensive knowledge in the domain and technical framework, notably in Large Language Models (LLM), and play a role in advancing product development through ongoing awareness of industry trends and technologies.
  • Assess business needs and integrate research to achieve business objectives. Your role involves guiding the selection of data to address issues strategically, leveraging your expertise to design, measure and build AI applications to drive tangible business results.
  • Record ongoing work and experimental findings, sharing them to encourage innovation.
  • Assess the effectiveness of models and collaborate with product teams to design AI-driven experiences.
  • You'll be involved in the onboarding process for new team members early in their careers, providing guidance and support as they join the team, and also assisting in coaching and mentoring other team members.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive team culture, offering technical guidance to fellow applied scientists and serving as a mentor.
