Facilities Engineerlocated in
Reporting to theFacilities Engineerrole applies engineering values to design, modify or develop facilities, testing, machines, equipment or processes used in processing or manufacturing products.
What a typical day looks like:
- Researches facility products or equipment specifications and performance requirements to define designs which can be produced by existing manufacturing or processing facilities and methods.
- Researches engineering proposals, process requirements and related technical data pertaining to industrial facilities machinery and equipment design.
- Defines feasibility of designing new plant facilities equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning and other technical and economic factors.
- Provides technical facilities information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties and process advantages and limitations which affect long range plant and product engineering planning.
- Compiles and researches facilities research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
- Studies engineering and technical publications to keep abreast of technical changes and developments in industry.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Guides projects and project teams.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, related degree or equivalent experience and training.
- Requires a minimum of 6+ years of related experience.
- Prefer some knowledge of manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough comprehension of Flex’s and related business.
- Creates functional processes or technologies. Executes functional strategic plans and objectives at the site.

Pay Range (Applicable to Illinois) $104,400.00 USD - $143,600.00 USD Annual
