Key Responsibilities:

• Market Expertise: Understand and advise on energy storage business cases in the EMEA region.
• Proposal Development: Collaborate with team members to prepare technical proposals, including system designs and microgrid controls.
• Technical Review: Analyze customer requirements and ensure solutions adhere to industry standards.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Provide guidance on complex power and control schemes, and mentor project teams.
• Field Support: Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Collaboration: Work with engineers to develop models and simulation scenarios for grid-connected renewable power systems.
• Business Development: Engage with prospective clients and lead proposals.

Basic Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5+ years of technical experience in electrical controls projects, particularly in BESS and microgrids
• Experience in solar PV projects or microgrids is an asset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in microgrids, renewable energy integration, and electrical SCADA applications
• Knowledge of renewable and electrical codes and standards (IEEE, NERC-CIP, IEC61850, Sunspec, MESA, LGIA)
• Experience with utility industry communication protocols and programming (Modbus, DNP3, IEC61580, SEL RTAC)
• Proficient in programming (function blocks, SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++, C#)
• Experience with feasibility studies and simulation tools (Excel, Homer, Matlab)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
