The role will support the IPB Head of Solutions Product Governance & Development in the management and oversight of product governance within Capital Markets (Equities, Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities and Alternative Investments), Managed Solutions and Strategy across EMEA.

The Solutions Product Development teams (consisting of asset class and product specialists) are responsible for sourcing, developing, marketing and monitoring products and solutions offered to Private Bank clients. The Product Governance team is specifically charged with ensuring that the products developed by these teams meet the needs of Private bank clients and comply with relevant regulatory requirements.

The Solutions & Product Development Team is focused on delivering high impact product initiatives. The team works in conjunction with the Cross Asset Class & derivatives Trading, Cross Asset Sales and Managed Solutions leadership team, and partners closely with the Investment business, legal, risk management, compliance, controls, operations, technology to achieve & support the following agenda:

  • New Products and Business Solutions development
  • Platform developments and Process improvements
  • Day-to-Day Product Management for Solutions desks
  • Regulatory Initiatives

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a project lead to develop and manage project plans though strategy development, project definition, solution development, agreement, and implementation
  • Develop the business model to adjust to local market developments and regulatory requirements within the overall global framework.
  • Work with key stakeholders and partners to design, develop and implement the global products strategy in EMEA.
  • Develop and communicate updates to senior management
  • Lead initiatives across regions to bring consistency between the US, EMEA and Asia
  • Adhere to best practices and governance practices, including new business initiative approval procedures and risk identification
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support process improvement, product modifications and implementation of changes rising from significant industry, business or regulatory changes

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities.

  • Experience of leading Projects, with the ability to manage, organize, and control activities of complex projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Experience of multi-asset class investments and the regulatory environment applicable to them (such as MiFID II, PRIIPs and ESG regulations).
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Ability to quickly analyse current business practices to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities and develop innovative solutions
  • Comfortable with working alongside all levels in the business, with a strong track record of performance to deliver outstanding results
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with across all levels of seniority and functions with confidence, and to develop effective partnerships with key business partners
  • Coordinate and lead meetings, taking ownership of a defined agenda, ensure participation, work through issues and obtain decisions.
  • Strong problem solving skill. Ability to break down complex problems into components and find innovative solutions to a wide variety of compliance, legal, technological, and behavioural constraints.
  • Highly competent with core MS Office applications – e.g. Excel and PowerPoint
