Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to join the Oncology Business Unit as a Brand and Customer Manager (BCM). This role is part of a diverse cross-functional team of relevant subject matter experts and should be responsive to the business needs. Activities can include leading the development and execution of insight-driven strategies, operational plans and activities that deliver value and drive the desired behavioural change across all relevant external stakeholder groups thereby delivering the best possible outcomes for our patients, our customers and our business.

Initially the role will be aligned to Gastrointestinal malignancies cross functional therapeutic team with flexibility to support across our UK Oncology business unit. Key Activities will be defined through the development of quarterly Opportunity Key Results (OKRs) aligned initially to the strategic and operational requirements to deliver on our business aspiration – will include:

Oncology Business Unit

  • Lead development of operational plans and omnichannel campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategy and delivery against quarterly OKRs, strong KPIs and performance targets
  • Utilise our strategic planning process to develop a segmented customer engagement approach. Produce customer journey and engagement plans with personalisation of messaging to drive behaviour change with key customers.
  • Work with the core cross-functional team to ensure alignment and clarity of opportunity spaces and tactics, encouraging delivery of plans with clear RACI.
  • Build relationships with global/regional/local internal stakeholders.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, leveraging project management principles appropriately with the cross-functional team.
  • Own and accurately manage indication-specific promotional budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and ROI tracking for marketing initiatives. Monitor expenditure, track performance and adjust as necessary to optimise marketing efforts.
  • Build therapeutic and product knowledge and ensure all marketing activities and materials comply with ABPI code and other applicable regulations and guidelines.

Biomarker (BMx)

  • Support BMx pathway optimisation for current and future indications within GI, in close collaboration with cross functional colleagues enabling and delivering solutions for allowing for timely access to treatment.
  • Collaborate with cross functional colleagues to foster and maintain relationships with external pathology stakeholders to achieve greater customer value and being recognised as collaborative partner though shared initiatives.

Medical Education

  • Supporting Medical Education activities by working alongside Scientific Leaders (SLs) and OTLs to develop relevant activities that drives advocacy for on-license indications
  • Monitoring the external environment (publications, clinician feedback, congresses, social media etc) and validating these insights to potentially leverage for future activities.

Knowledge & Skills Required

The Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience/competencies in several of the following areas:

  • Understanding of key marketing principles such as brand planning, campaign execution and pharmaceutical promotion with a strategic thinking lens.
  • Strong understanding of the Oncology healthcare market and dynamics.
  • Development of relationships and solutions tailored to scientific leaders / healthcare community needs.
  • Courageous in the ability to test new ideas and deliver on those ideas compliantly.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Relentless desire to add value to our customers and the business through application of data to define strategic choices and prioritisation.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to apply knowledge of the internal structures, processes, and culture to resourcing efforts.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity with flexible/adaptable ways of working.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements within the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the ABPI code
  • Understanding of Veeva and/or other digital platforms
  • Experience in precision medicine/biomarkers an advantage.
