In this role, you will:

  • Lead the ray tracing tools initiative and collaborate with other engineering leads to drive innovation.

  • Design and develop profiling and performance analysis features.

  • Collaborate with GPU hardware and software teams on performance validation and analysis.

  • Debug issues, optimize for the user experience, and work with the developer ecosystem, partners, and OEMs.

  • Shape how developers optimize for the Snapdragon Adreno GPU and gain insight into next generation GPU hardware design.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Game Rendering, or related work experience.

Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Game Rendering, or related work experience.

PhD in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Game Rendering, or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with one or more programming language suitable for graphics (e.g., C++, C).

The ideal candidate will meet two or more qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional experience

  • Extensive programming knowledge in C/C++ Deep knowledge of GPU hardware and graphics concepts

  • Strong software design and programming skills

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, guiding and mentoring other engineers, driving projects to completion, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation Including one or more of the following qualifications:

  • Experience developing graphics applications with Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, OpenGL, WebGL or graphics development through Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot or a comparable graphics or game engine

  • Experience developing GPU computing applications with OpenCL, CUDA, SYCL etc.

  • Experience debugging, optimizing, profiling, and tuning real-time graphics and/or compute applications

  • Experience with game engines, graphics frameworks, or general computing frameworks leveraging the GPU a plus

  • Knowledge of recent graphics trends, especially ray tracing and emerging capabilities such as mesh shading and workgraphs

  • Knowledge of Image and video processing, data parallelism, and machine learning algorithms algorithms

  • Familiarity with Graphics Profilers and Debuggers such as Nsight, PIX, GPA, RenderDoc, Radeon Profilers, GfxReconstruct

Pay range:

$170,800.00 - $256,200.00
