Description
Your responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, the following:Conduct research and develop novel video/image compression technologies.Contribute innovative techniques to image/video coding standards.Design, implement, and optimize image/video compression and processing algorithms tailored to various use cases.Collaborate effectively with experts in hardware and software.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Deep understanding and strong experience in video coding standards, e.g. H.265/HEVC, H.266/VVC, AV1, or AV2.
  • In-depth knowledge of rate control, and video codec optimization.
  • Deep understanding and extensive experience in designing and optimizing neural networks.
  • Excellent software design, problem-solving, and debugging abilities, strong programming skills in C/C++.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in image or video processing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the latest advancements in machine learning, generative video technologies, and computer vision would be highly valued.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and strong written and verbal communication skills are also desirable.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
