JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Program Controls Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the control and coordination functions within our Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS) business unit. You will be accountable for ensuring the successful execution of complex programs and projects, managing a team of program control professionals, and providing strategic guidance. Your expertise in program controls will contribute to the efficient and successful execution of programs and projects within ESS. You will report directly to our Program Controls Manager, and you’ll work out of our Tulsa, OK location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our program and project management processes, ensuring that programs and projects are executed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, analyze project performance metrics, and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Oversee and manage the program controls function for projects and programs within ESS
• Develop and implement project planning and scheduling strategies
• Monitor and control project costs and budgets
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
• Analyze project performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
• Ensure compliance with project management standards and best practices

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in program controls, project management, or related roles
  • Experience with Primavera software a must
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of project management ethics and methodologies
  • Experience with project planning and scheduling tools
  • Excellent communication and people-oriented skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Experience in a global organization
• Experience in managing projects in a matrix organization
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment
