Singapore

Responsibilities:

• Operate Precision Machines Milling / Lathe and perform basic benchfitting
• General knowledge of usage of hand tools and precision measuring instruments is a requirement.
• Check all Tooling, Gauges and perform basic Equipment Maintenance
• Expected to be able to interpret Blueprints and CMM
• Inspect parts Dimensions and Geometry as per Drawing / Blueprints specifications
• Ensure that machining work carried out meets the required Quality as stated in the respective Manuals and Technical instructions eg. SBs
• Ensures that work carried out meets to the required quality as stated in the respective manual.
• Initiate & implement Continuous Improvement activities (Kaizen) to improve Productivity & Quality

Qualifications:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, NITEC/NTC in Precision Engineering
• At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in Milling / Turning
• Experience in performing inspection of engine parts will be an advantage
• Knowledge in CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) will be an added advantage
• General knowledge in the usage of Hand Tools is a must
• Proficient in the Set up & Operate Lathe/Vertical/Horizontal machining centers for performing machining work
• Understanding of 5S and TPM concepts
• Experience with and understanding of Six Sigma and Lean tools will be an added advantage
• Strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Diligent, hardworking, and able to work in a fast pace working environment
• Committed and may be required to working overtime
• Must have basic Computer knowledge & skills
• Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage

• Apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of responsibility
• Significant mechanical experience
• Familiar with standard technical concepts
• Familiar with standard technical practices
• Familiar with standard technical procedures
• Ability to make decisions based on past experiences
