Sets up stations with the correct process inspection documents, screens, and/or workflow instructions.
Performs in process and online "go/no go" inspections of various types of electronics, subassemblies, peripherals or a larger assembly, identifying defects according to workmanship standards.
Handles touch-up and repairs.
Interprets the manufacturing process instructions, visual aids/drawings (e.g. microscope and magnifying lenses).
Scans product and enters information into the shop floor control system or manual tracking systems when applicable.
Adjusts, trims or otherwise processes materials or components found on product in order to achieve specified electrical requirements or dimensional characteristics.
Collaborates and ensures communication of process problems to peers, supervisors/leads and/or manufacturing support teams.
Documents workload, calculating the number of products inspected and rejected.
Creatively use the necessary materials needed to perform repairing operations.
Use machines, such as an Automatic Inspection machine, to detect defects.
