On-Call Responsibility
This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every two months. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. As a Software Development Engineer on the AWS Security Mitigation Services team, you'll create services that enable automated mitigation of security threats detected across AWS infrastructure. You'll collaborate with detection teams to develop mitigation capabilities that can stop threat actor activity as it's happening. Your work will leverage AWS's breadth of services to build scalable, real-time mitigation solutions. Additionally, you will build and tune models for analyzing the potential risks of taking security actions.About the team

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language - Javascript, Typescript, Python, Java

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
