Operational Sourcing Process

  • Support the Procurement Management process of Indirect goods and services in EMEA Region.
  • Support company business for assigned areas in EMEA with initial focus on discretionary spend.
  • Responsible for driving cost reductions to meet business targets.
  • Support the end users with Procurement analysis and selection of suppliers.
  • Maintain and support vendor contracts and databases.
  • Support the facilitation of new contract development and reconstruct sub-optimal existing contracts.
  • Support the development of policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities.
  • Monitors the cost, schedule and performance aspects of major sub-contracts.
  • Assures cost modelling and business cases.
  • Provides guidance to business stakeholders to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.
  • Run Sourcing events: RFQ, RFP, RFI and Auctions.
  • Collaborate closely with Category Managers and support with Sourcing Projects, Investigation to implementation.
  • Conduct benchmarking projects and analysis to determine best in class opportunities.
  • Report accomplishments and communicate initiatives and other issues to leadership and within EMEA Business Team.
  • Organize and participate in Supplier Business Reviews.
  • Promote usage of Preferred Vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with the Boston Scientific Quality System and Approved Vendor List.
  • Negotiate favourable payment terms with suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Min 5 years’ experience within Sourcing/Procurement functions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and can work well with others.
  • Can Draft and Red-line contracts.
  • Can manage and run a Sourcing event end-to-end.
  • IT systems knowledge in SAP, Ariba and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Market and legal knowledge required in addition to procurement skills.
  • Can work independently, to initiate savings strategies and to close tasks, projects and programs efficiently.
  • Fluent in English and preferably fluent in one of the GEM region languages.
  • Available to travel within the GEM region.
