As a Product control Professional in our Finance team you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.

Job Responsibilities

As Global Research Product Controller, you will be:

  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of Line of Business (LOB) books and records
  • Having the opportunity to work with a wide spectrum of stakeholders, across hierarchies, such as sales , contract capture team, billing operations, business managers, product owners, financial control, legal entity control along with teams that cover planning and analysis, external/regulatory reporting, strategic projects and technology
  • Running P&L reporting that covers contracting activity and associated economic events for in-scope Research products
  • Calculation of fixed and variable fees for the purpose of estimates and actuals reporting
  • Month-end close processes, providing detailed analysis and reporting on financials
  • Working with Sales to arrive at forecast numbers for current/future years as well as on a monthly basis
  • Working with business stakeholders to drive forth and implement robust controls, new business initiatives and enhancements to MIS reporting
  • Driving co-ordination across various front and back-office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner
  • Handling various ad-hoc requests. Reconciliation across key business outputs

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • CA, MBA or a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related business field, with 3+ years of finance/accounting and related experience
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills, with an ability to understand and explain variances across time-periods in context of economic events that occur during the lifecycle of a fee contract
  • Attention to detail along with the ability to question status quo and identify process efficiencies
  • Able to and connect upstream and downstream processes with product controller processes to understand their impact
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Keenness to learn and apply automation, data visualization and story-telling techniques based on data and facts is a must. Prior knowledge of applications such as Tableau, Alteryx, UI Path and/or macros and other forms of process automation will be an added advantage
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to summarize for executive level presentations as well as expand/elaborate for detailed commentary where required. Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
