Job Title:Senior Tax Consultant

As a Senior Tax Consultant at EY, you will play a crucial role in providing tax advisory services to our clients. You will work closely with a manager and diverse range of clients, helping them navigate complex tax regulations and optimize their tax strategies. Your expertise will contribute to the growth of our tax practice in Rwanda and enhance our reputation as a leading provider of tax services.

Under the supervision of a manager:

• Provide expert tax advice to clients on various tax matters, including corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and international tax.
• Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support client engagements and ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
• Assist clients in tax planning and structuring to minimize tax liabilities and enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare and review tax returns and ensure timely submission to tax authorities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and industry trends to provide clients with relevant insights.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax consulting or a related field,
• Strong knowledge of Rwandan tax laws and regulations, as well as international tax principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
