Here's what you'll need

- BS or MS in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or related scientific discipline or technical field.

- At least 8 years of environmental consulting emphasizing aquatic resource delineation and permitting experience, ideally including at least 5 years practicing in Washington State and at least 3 years demonstrating progressive growth as environmental permitting task lead or project manager for complex infrastructure projects or programs. - Knowledge of local, state and federal permitting programs such as the Clean Water Act Section 401/402/404, SEPA, Critical Areas, and Shoreline permitting.

- Ability to succeed in a consulting environment, including balancing multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. - Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions across the western states; must be available for occasional travel.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

- Experience with multiple modes of project delivery, including traditional design-bid-build and progressive design-build delivery.

- WSDOT Biological Senior Author Certification.

- Certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist from the Society of Wetland Scientists.

- Fish salvage electrofishing lead qualifications. - Ability to travel as needed for project assignments and pursuits.

- Biology and permitting experience in other regions, such as California, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and Hawaii.
