Job responsibilities

  • Lead a team of high-potential software engineers, delivering high quality software that achieves functional objectives
  • Carries accountability for coding decisions and achieving measures of success
  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Develops secure high-quality code, reviews and debugs code written by the team
  • Demonstrate ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues
  • Leads evaluation sessions with other internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs
  • Mentors and coaches team members, with a focus on building and managing industry leading products exceeding business expectations

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Java programming concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams of technologists
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced knowledge of front-end languages and frameworks (e.g. typescript/react)
  • Advanced knowledge of server-side languages and frameworks (e.g. Java/SpringBoot)
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages
  • Experience in Microservices architecture
  • Proficient in Database technologies
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

  • Practical cloud native experience – AWS preferred
