Due to current business opportunities, we are looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to join our fast-growing Water Infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated and high-performing team of water professionals to deliver a range of significant projects for both public and private sector clients both locally and nationally.
What is required:
The role will work alongside Senior Engineers and Technical Leaders, andprovide assistanceon water industry projects where required, to further develop understanding of civil engineering design, including:
- Preparation of designs, technical reports and proposals to inform a variety of drinking water or wastewater engineering work in the initial planning, design, and construction phases of projects.
- Working with other members of our team, you'll work on projects evaluating and selecting the best approach to solve our clients' challenges and planning and designing water engineering augmentations.
- Contributing to multidisciplinary teams delivering major water and wastewater treatment systems.
- Contributing to winning work and market-led innovative offerings.
- Assisting in the development of Graduate Engineers, particularly training in the use of relevant software packages.
- You will work collaboratively with other team members to deliver goals and targets of the team, section and Performance Unit (PU).
- Attend client meetings where possible to gain an understanding of the relationships that we aspire to maintain.
- Represent the team at meetings and ensure tasks undertaken are understood completely before stating.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2-5 years’ experience in the Water Infrastructure industry and consultancy environment.
- Experience in concept and detailed design of water infrastructure projects.
- Understanding of safety in design practices and processes.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Experience in the design management of water infrastructure projects is desired.
- Some knowledge of relevant industry related Australian Standards and codes.
- Use and understanding of Civil 3D modelling software, 2D and 3D CADD software would be advantageous.
