Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Performance Test and Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for testing the performance and scalability of applications on cloud environments, applying SRE practices to build and maintain reliable systems, and developing automation tests and scripts. You will play a crucial role in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, ensuring that applications run efficiently and meet performance requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and optimization of our systems.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 3 years of experience in performance testing, particularly for cloud-based applications
- Strong understanding of performance testing strategies, methodologies and best practices
- Proficiency in scripting and coding for performance testing automation tasks
- Proven experience in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks
- Experience with performance testing tools such as RPT, JMeter, LoadRunner, Locust, Gatling
- Design, test and deploy effective test automation solutions
- Support test execution and monitor regression tests failures
- Proficient in JavaScript
- Experience with Playwright framework
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proven experience with Rational Performance Tester and JMeter
- Proven experience with Instana monitoring tool
- Good understanding of SRE best practices
- Web authentication, Cloudflare
- REST API development experience
- Good understanding of software testing concepts according to ISTQB and Agile manifesto
