- Full time employment with us is based on 40 hours per week
- This role is based on a Hybrid basis from our Manchester office with occasional travel to other Jacobs and client sites around the UK
Some key duties and responsibilities
- This role will utilise lean start-up methodologies to help in the specification, build and testing of both pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and analytics for operational activities plus BI reporting tools for clients
- You will work closely with the technical lead to help design, implement and build new solutions, providing you with exposure to all aspects of the process
- Design _ engage in collaborative workshops with our end users to scope and wireframe an end-to-end solution which will meet customer needs in a timely, secure, stable and scalable manner
- Build _ develop and integrate the solution to meet the specification
- Testing & Feedback _ engaging in follow up workshops and testing that the end solutions both function as intended and meet the client needs
- Deploy & Run _ deploying the solution into an end production environment and providing ongoing support where required
- A degree level education in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field plus professional Data Analysis experience
- Proficiency in data visualisation software such as PowerBI
- Experienced in the use of Python, SQL, database modelling and Agile methodologies
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills and able to work to tight deadlines
- UI design with analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Experience of cloud technologies such as Azure and Databricks / Spark would be ideal
- Work with initiative and the ability to operate autonomously if required
- A critical thinker with an open mind who can be unique, is happy to be challenged and is willing to challenge others….mistakes are welcome and being able to offer a solution is the secret ingredient
