JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be responsible for research and design of cutting-edge artificial intelligence driven solutions for Industrial Automation. You will provide expert-level technical leadership in the development of AI algorithms, models and systems towards autonomous operations in the Industrial automation domain. Your role will involve acting as the subject matter expert for technical AI projects and providing direction on exploring and implementing methodologies and best practices. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Engineering and you will be based in one of Honeywell’s key R&D locations in the United States such as Philadelphia, Phoenix, Houston or Atlanta where you’ll work on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will have a significant impact on research and development of Industrial Autonomous systems applying AI and drive innovation. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Industrial Automation within Honeywell known for its commitment to excellence and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead research and design of cutting-edge Industrial Automation solutions applying AI to solve customer problems in continuous, hybrid and discrete Industrial automation with deterministic outcomes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to apply AI technologies into new and existing solutions

• Engage with universities on research in state of the art solutions for Industrial automation

• Work with product managers and business leaders to understand requirements and align research and development initiatives with overall business objectives

• Provide mentorship and guidance to R&D engineers

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 8+ years of experience in research and development of significant AI-related technology projects in the Industrial Automation field or applied real time applications, from concept through to successful real world implementation
  • Expertise in new and traditional artificial intelligence technologies
  • Excellent communication and ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders
    Ability to lead by influence
  • Masters or PHD in Computer Science or Engineering with an Artificial Intelligence focus
    WE VALUE
  • Experience in domains such as aviation, robotics, autonomous vehicles
  • Experience with multi agent systems
  • Experience in applying AI for control, sensing and vision systems
  • Knowledge of AI/ML Ops
