The future is what you make it.

Although there are several microelectronics manufacturers able to produce components appropriate for some spacecraft and missions, few foundries are able to produce ASICs able to withstand long-duration exposure to intense radiation. Commercial foundries do not have the wafer technology and associated controls required for space-worthy microelectronics

  • Honeywell is one of the only dedicated radiation-hardened foundries to make ASICs that can tolerate extreme radiation levels. This helps increase performance, reduce risks and ensure successful missions in space and in other radiation-prone environments.
  • The Honeywell Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) CMOS foundry is the foundation for manufacturing integrated circuits.
  • Honeywell's SOI CMOS technology combined with MPW foundry services provides innovators with the technology and support necessary to create cutting-edge solutions
