The Infrastructure Delivery Manager will oversee the cabling infrastructure installation for inbound capacity and equipment while managing a growing team. Key responsibilities include developing sustainable processes, driving automation initiatives, and overseeing low voltage structured cabling across AWS data centers. The role requires expertise in budget tracking, strategic planning, and technical solution development to optimize delivery cycle times without compromising network availability.As part of AWS Infrastructure Services, you'll join the team that maintains our global infrastructure powering millions of customer workloads. Working alongside software engineers, hardware specialists, and security experts, you'll help ensure reliable service delivery while optimizing costs. The position demands proven people management experience, strong technical understanding of data center operations, and a track record of process improvement and automation.Success in this position requires balancing technical expertise with leadership skills, driving innovation while maintaining operational excellence, and contributing to our culture of continuous improvement. Key job responsibilities
Team Management and Development
-Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators
-Recruit, train, and guide staff on industry best practices
-Host weekly staff meetings
Operational Oversight
-Manage infrastructure installation from procurement through deployment
-Oversee cabling infrastructure installation in data centers-Provide weekly reports to data center leadershipProcess Improvement
-Develop and implement policies and procedures to meet industry standards and SLAs
-Manage tasks and deliverables across projects of varying sizesFlexibility and Availability
-Support potential off-hours and on-call needsA day in the life
This position requires on-site presence at AWS data centers throughout Central Ohio to conduct supervision, team meetings, safety inspections and manage daily operations. The role includes mandatory management meetings at AWS corporate offices throughout Central Ohio.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- 1+ years of experience in management function
- 2+ years of experience in a data center technology role
- 2+ years of structured cabling experience in data center environments
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
- 2+ years of TCP/IP networking knowledge
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and solution implementation
- Track record of presenting technical content to senior management
- Experience implementing automation in deployment environments
- Knowledge of lean methodologies
- Six-Sigma certification or equivalent
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Understanding of infrastructure technologies and design principles
- Meets Amazon's technical and functional competency standards
