Key job responsibilities
- Create comprehensive specifications for protection, automation, control, and monitoring solutions
- Develop and review protection and control requirements for new and modified substations
- Develop and review the protection and control requirements Scope of Works for new build substations and modifications to existing
- Prepare detailed design documentation, including protection line diagrams and relay setting calculations
- Evaluate and manage specialist consulting services and vendor relationships- Work with local utilities to understand and define site specific requirements.- Travel to sites for site review and surveys
- Attend Factory Witness Testing for standard, bespoke and First of Kind Applications
A day in the life
Your day will be a dynamic blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving. You'll transform conceptual designs into comprehensive construction documents, working across multiple geographical regions.From site selection to final commissioning, you'll be the critical link ensuring our data center electrical infrastructure is robust, efficient, and innovative.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Protection and Controls Engineer experience of 5+ years with power systems, electrical substations up to 245kV
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes and standards (BSEN, IEC, CIGRE, IEEE)
- Proficient in developing and analyzing protection & Control strategy studies
- Expertise in protection relay technologies and digital solutions
- Strong analytical skills for complex technical decision-making
- Chartered Engineer certification
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in data center or mission-critical infrastructure design
- Proven skills in project management and technical consulting
- Knowledge of large-scale technical operations
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions
