In this role, you will use your related experience to contribute to the firm's M&A execution and capital raising capabilities while helping build J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace.
As a Global Investment Banking – Banker – Vice President within the Korea Investment Banking Coverage Team, you will use your experience to develop strong relationships with corporates and financial institution clients. You will work across a variety of banking products, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises, contributing to the firm's M&A execution and capital raising capabilities.
Job responsibilities
- Act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals
- Review and coordinate the analytic work of junior bankers to move marketing/execution process forward
- Oversee the creation of financial projection models
- Identify and managing all risks in a given deal
- Liaise with other internal and external parties on transactions (eg. lawyers, accountants, counterparties)
- Lead client negotiations, Q&A process and management interviews
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Refining marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact
- Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs
- Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences
- Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
- Fluency in both English and Korean to provide service to Korean clients
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in training junior bankers
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
