Architect, implement, and manage a robust observability platform centered around Dynatrace, integrating with existing tools and technologies.
Leverage years of Dynatrace experience to establish best practices, develop custom dashboards, alerts, and reports, and provide expert-level guidance to other engineers.
Implement and manage observability for applications deployed on Gardener Kubernetes, including configuring and optimizing auto-discovery, instrumentation, and monitoring of Kubernetes resources.
Design and implement OpenTelemetry-based instrumentation strategies to enhance observability across the NS2 Cloud landscape.
Automate observability tasks and processes using scripting and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for the observability platform.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging technologies in the observability space, continuously evaluating and recommending new tools and approaches.
Mentor and guide junior engineers on observability best practices and Dynatrace utilization.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and security.
Qualifications:
8+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace, demonstrating advanced knowledge of its capabilities and best practices.
5+ years of experience administering and managing Linux systems.
3+ years of experience working with Gardener Kubernetes, including monitoring and observability.
Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry and experience implementing distributed tracing and metrics collection.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Certifications in Dynatrace or related technologies.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with Splunk, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, and/or Site24x7 is a plus.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
