Description
As a member of this team, you will use your background to: - Work with ML experts to co-design hardware and software solutions that further improve efficiency of neural workloads at inference time- Implement features in our simulation engine and compiler for next-gen accelerators- Benchmark and diagnose performance bottlenecks of deep learning models- Work with a variety of partners from all parts of the stack — from Apps to Compilation, HW Arch, and Silicon Validation
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Masters or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working on ML inference performance optimization either in SW or HW space
  • Proficient in Python, working knowledge of C++
  • Proficiency in algorithms and coding skills to optimize a workload and solve hard problems in scheduling, allocation and tune solutions to the details of an architecture platform
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of computer systems and the interactions between HW and SW
  • Strong communicator with ability to analyze complex and ambiguous problems
  • Experience with backend compilation, ML/HW/SW co-design, and/or performance optimization
  • Familiarity with ML model efficiency techniques (e.g., quantization, pruning) and what are their bottlenecks at inference time
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
