Description
The GPU Pre-Silicon compiler team has a proven track record of designing and delivering the best in class LLVM-based compiler backend for Apple Silicon GPUs. As the manager of this team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and tracking the team’s deliverables. You will operate both tactically and strategically—developing a clear vision, offering technical feedback, and setting the direction for the team. Additionally, you will foster and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with our hardware and software partners. You will also oversee hiring, mentoring, and the growth of a high-performing team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in managing a software team in a fast-paced capacity
  • 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role
  • Experience with compiler design, optimizations, performance
  • Knowledge of GPU architecture, memory model and low-level systems software
  • Experience with recruiting, mentoring and developing a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience developing LLVM-based compiler backends
  • Experience with instruction selection, instruction schedulers and register allocators for CPU or GPU compiler backends
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
