Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute localization processes, ensuring alignment with business priorities and stakeholder strategies.
  • Manage end-to-end localization projects, including planning, execution, and delivery, while collaborating with language specialists, engineers, and external vendors.
  • Oversee the management of the Smartling platform, ensuring effective use and smooth operation.
  • Monitor usage of Smartling translation credits, ensuring optimal utilization and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Forecast translation credit needs to ensure adequate budgeting and planning.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of translations, and coordinate internal team reviews to finalize content.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and workflows for localization projects, ensuring time, budget, and resource optimization.
  • Create and control localization project budgets, monitor costs, and coordinate with purchasing for timely issuance of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in localization projects, proactively resolving issues to maintain quality and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with localization standards, practices, and policies, working closely with vendors to maintain quality.
  • Host and lead project meetings, including kick-offs, weekly updates, while documenting and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Provide regular reports on project progress, budget utilization
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in localization through active learning and training.

Marketing Technology Support

  • Assist in integrating localization efforts with marketing technology tools to ensure consistent and efficient content delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to leverage tools like 6sense, Drift, and Trendemon for enhanced campaign targeting and personalization.
  • Support troubleshooting, management, and data analysis for marketing technology tools.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Linguistics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in localization project management, ideally in a marketing or technology-driven environment.
  • Experience working with Smartling or similar globalization management systems is highly advantageous.
  • Familiarity with marketing technologies (e.g., 6sense, Drift, Trendemon) is a plus.
