Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
- Working to meet service level agreements (SLA’s) against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow
- Being first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and network issues
- Performing regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards etc)
- Carrying out routine network, server hardware and operating system (OS) related requests- Adhering to security and safety best practices in the data center
- Identifying and help create documentation and process improvements relevant to the data center environment
- Performing server upgrades, rebuilds, scheduled works as requiredIrvine, CA, USA
- Knowledge of server hardware and components
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks
- 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
- 1+ years of computer networking experience
- Experience working in a colocation data center facility
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
