In this role, you’re expected to:
The candidate will be part of the NAV ATE Monitoring team and will be actively engaged in evaluating fund credit risk by analyzing trading activity and ensuring Citi’s exposure remains in-line with established risk guidelines.
Perform Intra-day monitoring of limit/exposures for funds/hedge funds/private equity counterparties of most countries in Asia.
Manage and maintain the proprietary database of counterparty capital and performance. Will involve liaising with counterparties to obtain financial statements, monthly performance and disclosure reports, and other data as required.
Maintain data integrity in Citi’s database; notify credit officers both for the 1st line of defense and 2nd line of defense of any unusual movement in performance or trigger breaches.
Interaction with Risk Analytics and Sales Desks to determine correct exposure and to ensure margin terms for transactions are obtained.
Monitor ISDA/CSA credit terms, ensure all credit systems updated correctly, identify & escalate breaches, oversee resolution with analysts and Legal.
Proactively monitor fund and Investment Securities exposures; undertake analysis/ investigation where required to ensure exposures are properly reported and exceptions resolved. This may include interacting with Sales and Trading as well as Credit Risk to understand the credit transaction.
Coordinate with other departments and various levels of management regarding credit risk reporting issues, including investigating data issues, and resolving reporting errors.
Manage assigned projects in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and that deliverables are met.
Develop an understanding of how financial and capital markets transactions, including derivative and foreign exchange trading, generate risk exposure, and how this affects extensions of credit to varied clients.
Fulfil ad hoc tasks that may be assigned by the Limit Monitoring head and Team Lead (e.g. regulatory/portfolio reports, etc)
Provide checker function on NAV uploads to ensure accuracy in the data quality.
Mentor junior analysts in the team to pass on best practices.

Qualifications:
1-2 years relevant experience
Ability to produce work accurately and under pressure to challenging deadlines;
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Self-motivated and detail oriented
Good analytical and problem solving skills; Some credit risk and product knowledge;
Ability to adapt to new situations and implement changes
Education:
Graduate of Business-related courses, preferably Economics, Accounting or Finance; Post-graduate in Business, Finance or Accounting or FRM / CPA / CFA professional qualifications an advantage
A passionate interest in finance and strong analytical, research, and organizational skills are required. Familiarity with risk management & systems is a plus.
Ability to work independently and in a team
Highly attentive to details, while being able to work under pressure and deliver timely and accurate results.
Strong academic background
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English
Strong quantitative/database management skills (Microsoft Excel, MS Access)
