Your key responsibilities
- Strategy and planning: Drive commercial activation planning, including identifying opportunities, targeting accounts, and developing go-to-market (GTM) narratives.
- Client and stakeholder management: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients, as well as with Super Region partners.
- Financial management: Monitor engagement financial status, perform forecasting and analysis, produce financial reports, and manage engagement financial records
- Strategic Business development: Contribute to defining strategy, identifying new opportunities, and driving business development to originate new client opportunities and drive commercial growth.
- Team leadership and collaboration: Guide and mentor team members, foster a culture of accountability, and collaborate with various teams on key decisions.
- Risk management: Identify and manage risks effectively to ensure commercial objectives are met.
- Performance and analysis: Track operational metrics (like utilization and project pipeline) and use data and insights to assess performance and inform strategy.
- Reporting: Develop presentations and reports to communicate project status, strategy, and performance to internal stakeholders.
Client Engagement Responsibilities
- Strategic Client Leadership: Spearhead and facilitate high-level strategic conversations with key clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and our service offerings.
- Negotiation Ownership: Drive and own complex negotiations with clients, focusing on strategic initiatives and execution plans that enhance value and foster long-term partnerships.
- Trusted Advisor Role: Serve as a trusted advisor to our most valuable clients and priority pursuits, leveraging deep industry knowledge and insights to guide their strategic decisions and enhance client satisfaction.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders within client organizations, ensuring ongoing engagement and alignment with their evolving needs.
- Value Proposition Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored value propositions that resonate with client priorities and drive successful outcomes.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze client engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Client-Facing Interactions:
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, fostering trusted relationships and understanding their business priorities to tailor solutions effectively.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and workshops to communicate deal strategy, progress, and recommendations with clarity and impact.
- Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to co-develop deal approaches, resolve challenges, and ensure alignment throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client communications during critical phases of the deal process, ensuring responsiveness and professionalism.
- Represent the firm’s values and capabilities in client engagements, contributing to a positive and differentiated client experience.
What we look for
- Minimum 15 years of experience in professional services, consulting, or strategic sales.
- Experience in commercial activities, such as go-to-market strategy, sales, or marketing transformation,
- Strong analytical skills, financial analysis and forecasting, strategic thinking, and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of engagement lifecycle management, risk assessment, and the ability to interact with senior management levels.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders, specifically C-suite executives.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and influencing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Prior experience in a Deal Coach, Sales Capture, or Pursuit Lead role.
- Familiarity with EY’s service offerings and go-to-market strategy.
- Experience with deal shaping, commercial structuring, and negotiation.
- Exposure to strategic account management and client relationship development.
What we offer
The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $124,100 to $206,900. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
