Job responsibilities also include coordinating cross-functionally with the module/test engineering team for laying out the foundation of calibration and test methodologies to ensure manufacturability. This is a highly cross functional and interdependent role where you will be working with Product Design/Reliability/Software/Metrology/Operations partners on a regular basis. Some international travel to manufacturing facility expected in this role during proto/xVT builds (min 2 times a year).
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in relevant field (Physics, Systems engineering, Mechatronics)
  • 10+ years work experience in system design, integration and productization in Consumer Electronics(AR-VR), Medical, Automotive or Aerospace domain
  • Experience with prototyping/evaluating proof of concept system calibration techniques in lab environment
  • Proficient in statistical concepts and expertise in data analysis tools like: JMP/Mini-tab
  • Great teammate with exceptional conversational & written communication, negotiation & presentation skills
  • Proficiency in scripting skills (C++, MATLAB, Python)
  • Detailed, disciplined, methodical approach, with good documentation habits
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in one or more areas of calibration methodologies used in optics, display, motion sensing, or camera
  • Hands-on knowledge of linear algebra concepts for computer vision
  • Know-how of 6DOF tracking technologies
  • Know-how of graphics rendering pipelines is a plus
  • Understanding of low level software (firmware & drivers in C or C++) a plus
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $199,800 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
