Responsibilities

Process Engineers work across technologies such as:  ChemicalVapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal and Implant. Responsibilities include:

  • cutting-edgeprocesses used to manufacture the most-advanced semiconductor chips, many of which are inside everyday electronic devices

  • Design both hypothesis experiments and design of experiments (DOE), analyze data with statistics and compile reports with high level conclusions on technically challenging process engineering experiments

  • Perform hardware characterization on a variety of advanced systems andprovideguidance to design engineering authority, within safety guidelines

  • Troubleshoot a variety of complex problems, perform multiple root causeanalysisand resolve a variety ofdifficult processengineering and customer product issues

  • Generate internal and external documentation for products,presentationsand technical reports

  • difficult processengineering issues, up to including oral presentations to customers

  • Execute problem-solving learning cycle: define problem statement, devise experimentalplanand select characterization techniques with which data will be collected, perform experiments, perform measurements,processand analyze data, draw conclusions based on data, execute ifnecessarya follow-up learning cycle based on conclusions

  • Measure film properties and interpret data to drive concise conclusions

  • Identify,selectand work with vendors and suppliers

  • Implementnew technology,productsand analytical instrumentation


Requirements

  • Graduating with aMaster’sdegree(orDoctorate or Postdoc)in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics,Nanotechnologiesor related field

  • Demonstrable breadth ofexpertisein semiconductor technologies

  • Able to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions

  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

  • Communicates complex ideas,anticipatespotentialobjectionsand persuades others to adopt a different point of view

  • Multi-disciplinary team collaboration
