PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own and drive programs through the full SW development lifecycle in partnership with chipset / HW lifecycle and product lifecycle leads.

  • Drive requirements scoping, analysis and planning including interdependencies, staffing constraints and schedule optimization across multiple technology teams worldwide.

  • Partner effectively with Product Management and Engineering to close requirements and establish clear Plan of Record commitment with alignment across all stakeholders.

  • Establish rigorous execution discipline on program schedule and deliverables.

  • Anticipate and proactively find risk areas and put in place mitigation plans to address risks. Develop strong processes that streamline the development cycle and help integrate multiple plans, dependencies, and deliverables effectively.

  • Manage actual program costs against approved budget.

  • Communicate succinctly and clearly program status and issues at executive level.

  • Proven skills: communication, negotiation, motivation, dealing and resolving difficult and complex situations.

  • Experience of working in a large matrixed organization in role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above)

This also includes the ability to get things done with fewer resources and in less time, work on multiple tasks at once without losing track, and foresee and plan around obstacles.

  • Program Management - Knowledge of program management methodology (e.g., planning, scheduling, tracking, execution). This includes the ability to effectively use program management tools to carry out the program management function.

  • Risk Management - The ability to identify (e.g., impact analysis) and mitigate risks that impact programs. This includes prioritizing and tracking risks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.

• 3+ years of working with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years Program Management or related work experience.

  • 2+ years experience with program management tools such as Tableau, MS Excel, MS Project, etc.

  • 1+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization.

  • Prior experience in WLAN/Modem chip and HW Solution development.

  • Located in San Diego, CA

Pay range:

$147,000.00 - $221,000.00
