What You’ll Be Doing:
- Achieving departmental goals in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Providing daily communication with production staff regarding production and quality issues.
- Ensuring parts are produced to appropriate quality levels and implementing corrective actions for suspect products.
- Performing root cause analysis of production and quality problems and implementing permanent corrective actions.
- Performing daily duties with accuracy and in a timely manner, including mold changes, press startups, quality checks, and material movement.
- Accurately completing all production documentation and data entry in a timely manner.
- Following all 6S and safety standards and practices.
- Providing continuous improvement and cost savings ideas.
- Working with engineering to ensure robust processes and monitoring processes per standard work.
- Training employees.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and adapt.
- 2-3 years minimum experience in injection molding and plastics material knowledge.
- Lean manufacturing experience.
- Formal problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in English.
- High-level attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Computer literacy.
