As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer/Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organization’s identity management systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices. You will play a key role in managing and optimizing IAM solutions, ensuring that access to critical resources is appropriately governed and that the identity lifecycle is efficiently managed.
Key Responsibilities:
IAM Solutions Management: Manage and maintain the organization’s IAM platforms, including IBM Security Verify Governance and other identity management tools like SailPoint or Micro Focus Identity Management.
Access Control: Configure and manage access control systems, including Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP, to ensure secure and compliant identity access processes.
Authentication Methods: Implement and manage authentication protocols such as OAuth, Kerberos, and LDAP to secure access to applications and data.
System and Database Management: Administer and secure identity systems across Linux and Windows environments, as well as databases such as Oracle, SQL, or DBase.
Identity Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of identity and access management, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews, to ensure that users have appropriate access at all times.
Security and Compliance: Ensure that all IAM practices comply with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, supporting audits and assessments as needed.
Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with other IT teams to integrate IAM solutions with existing systems and support the migration of identity management services to cloud environments.
Incident Response: Assist in the investigation and resolution of IAM-related security incidents, ensuring that any vulnerabilities are promptly addressed.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in identity management, continuously evaluating and recommending enhancements to IAM processes and tools.
This role requires a deep understanding of IAM principles and technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment to protect and manage the organization’s identity and access infrastructure.
