Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Software Engineer in Irving, Texas.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer will be responsible for software analysis, technical design, development and architecture standards and best practices for online web applications. Essential responsibilities include: developing and maintaining user interfaces, ensuring applications are efficient and responsive; migrate legacy .Net applications to modern React.js applications; develop web application using tools like Visual Studio with industry-leading technologies like React.js, HTML, and SASS; develop web applications using React.js and Next.js; design and recommend methods & techniques for addressing accessibility (A11y) requirements; implement W3C standard code so that applications can run smoothly when accessibility features are enabled; test accessibility applications using tools like axe auditor, JAWS and NVDA; participate in quarterly release deployment on servers; interact with business SMEs and architects to gather requirement details; application architecture designing; work with tools like JIRA to track the status of the requirements from start to end, and to track the capacity, velocity and burned down of projects; identify and manage technical risks/issues at project level; and provide business consulting services related to operational processes and best practices. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple Positions.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Technologies plus 1 year of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related.
