Job Description for MRE Engineering Technician
Perform all types of DET Guzik & QMT test
Ensure no delay in DET testing and that the test results are available on time
Buyoff measurement result is shown consistent and stable to meet Test Criteria
Compile and upload data to Online SPC timely to meet expected Test TAT
Continuously update all test request and other necessary tracking
Receive from previous shift and pass down information to next shift clearly
Perform head change whenever required
Perform tester conversion buyoff and tester troubleshooting
Support data package compilation for NPI, SMO, Time Slice and by request.
Support reference & head issuance and inventory management
Support reference generates and head screening activities
Perform and maintain MRE lab 7S and follow all safety and health rules
Carry out all jobs/tasks as assigned by Engineers
PN1-PN2 cross plants travelling to support whenever required
Able to work in cleanroom environment and rotating shift pattern 12 hourly
Able to support different shift and work location as assigned
Qualifications
Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent
1-2 Years working experience in manufacturing environment with machine operation, data collection & analytical skills is preferred.
Working experiences in sputter metrology tool and knowledge of Magnetic materials used in HDD would be an added advantage.
Understanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate & detect process changes causing machine alarms.
Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook). Macro in excel would be an added advantage
Effective team player with proven relationship building & communication skills, including cross-functionally with Production, Process, Yield, and Quality.

Problem Solving – Proficiency in troubleshooting process controls, process adjustments, data readback from machine, control limits.
Communication - Ability to communicate technical information effectively to colleagues and engineers.
Safety – Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing environment.
Teamwork – Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
Adaptability - Proficiency in handling emergencies and unexpected equipment failures.
