What You’ll Do
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation, working with a team of talented professionals to solve complex problems. You’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to design and optimize mechanical devices, machines, and systems. You will take on exciting challenges, from conducting research and analyzing data to creating detailed technical drawings and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. RoleResponsibilities:
- Design or modify basic mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, ordrawings/specificationsunder direct supervision
- Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects; identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve basic technical issues
- Perform and document engineering test reports; generate alpha/gamma documentation for product releases
- Perform engineering analysis; troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of general difficulty under direct supervision
- Apply engineering processes to resolve basic mechanical problems
- Help to design, develop, and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes
- Enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle, as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related majors from an accredited university or college and available to start Summer 2025
- Demonstrated experience in collaborative environments, whether through academic projects or professional roles, with an understanding of team dynamics.
- Familiarity with the basic theories and concepts of mechanical engineering such as: Thermal/Fluid/Solid Mechanics, 3D CAD Design/2D Drawing/GD&T, PartsFabrication/Assembly/Testing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated practical experience and involvement in mechanical engineering project activities, showcasing practical application of engineering concepts and problem-solving skills, whether through academic projects or professional endeavors
